Aliki Kayaloglou is well known both in Greece and abroad for her passionate commitment to the art of Singing, her sensitive feeling for poetry and her way of interpreting poetic texts and communicating with the audience.
She has collaborated with two of the most important Greek composers, initially with Mikis Theodorakis and then with Manos Hadjikdakis in concerts and recordings.
Since 1982 she has been giving recitals in Greece and abroad (Spain, Tunisia, Mexico, France, Italy, Cyprus, Sweden, Britain, Turkey, Germany, Russia etc) with enthusiastic comments from the press.
She usually gives recitals dedicated to poets whose work she loves, such as G. Seferis, O. Elytis, K. Cavafy, G. Ritsos, M. Anagnostakis, N. Gatsos, F.G. Lorca, Horatio Ferrer, Fernando Pessoa and others, or combines monologues, such as The Handsome Indifferent by Jean Cocteau, with songs on a similar theme, such as A Difficult Love, not forgetting her large repertoire of songs from the Greek and international cinema and the Greek theatre, it must be added that she specializes in Spanish music from the 16th century to our day, as well als tangos by Astor Piazolla and Carlos Gardel.
She has been involved with music production, creating her own company, SYN ATHENA KAI HEIRA KINEI and lately with the street theatre.
